Rodney decided it was time to wash Aunt Carrie's car, so everyone joined in the fun. After all it's 80 degrees the day after Christmas in Florida!

Next is Rodney as Rudolph, the noise was a gift from Margot in his class, it blinks.
Lastly is Lizzy enjoying the chocolate covered gram crackers I made for the Holiday's.

Santa

Our country club Pine Tree has a Singing Santa buffet every year, we made it an event and asked BB and Grandad to join us. Rodney was so excited he wanted to talk to Santa the moment we walked in the door. Lizzy was equally as excited, until she got to the bottom step and saw Santa and Ms. Clause.

Christmas Tree's

The Sunday after Thanksgiving we headed out to get a Christmas tree. Jeff will only buy one from the Boy Scout lot that he had to work as a kid. Rodney and Lizzy's favorite part of that adventure were the candy canes, and the fact the tree was on top of our car.

This past weekend we went to my parents to celebrate their birthdays. They have the same birthday, Dec 7th. While Carrie and I prepared for the party, Mom and Dad took the kids to cut down their Christmas tree.

Auburn finally wins one! We took Rodney and Lizzy and meet up with our friends the Anderson's for lots of Auburn fun. The pre-game was so much fun, we only made it through about 15 minutes of the actual game.

Halloween Fun

Our first Halloween event was the parade in Crestline, lots of fun and tons of Mini Moon-pies which we collected and deliver to Grandad. After a stop at BB's (she is the witch pictured), we came home to eat pizza and then start the treating. Lizzy made it through about 6 houses and was ready for bed. Rodney and Dad did a few more, and then had almost as much fun answering the door at our house.

Halloween..almost

We had a trial run on Rodney's costume today, looks pretty good. I am proud to say I made the pants, vest and belt. Will post more pictures on Friday night. Sister Lizzy is not feeling well and would not partake in the trial run.
These ghosts were the treats for Lizzy's class party today. Little Debbie cakes with icing and spinkles for eyes. Pretty cute?

Beach Weekend

Jeff and I traded Mom and Dad two kids for a beach house. We took our friends Allen and Shea with us for a long weekend. Jeff could not be away from football all day Saturday, so Beach Tailgate was born. We ended up watching most of the Alabama game on the beach.

Pumpkin Patch Train Ride with Nana & Pop

Nana and Pop came up for the weekend and took Rodney and Lizzy to the Calera, Al train ride/ pumpkin patch. Lizzy was taste testing the pumpkins, and Rodney & Pop got to see lots of trains. I believe this will become an annual event.

Soccer

Rodney had his first Sunday Soccer game today. I am truly not sure who was more excited Jeff or Rodney. Jeff's dream since I found out at 20 weeks Rodney was a boy has been to coach.

It went really well, considering there are about 80+ 3 year olds out on the field. They broke the kids down into groups of 4 on a team, then spent the first 30 minutes doing drills and the next 30 playing a game.

The picture in the car was the before, Rodney's favorite little girl from school Sohpie was there also, and the other girl pictured was on his team (she was good). Rodney scored a goal, ran alot and generally had a great time. I will also post a video, but be warned I had Lizzy in my lap as I was trying to take the video.

Lizzy's 1st Birthday

Tropical Storm Fay rained on Lizzy's day, but that did not stop the fun. Butterfly fun was had by all, we did butterfly foam art, Mommy with Aunt Carrie and Nana's help made butterfly cupcakes. Lizzy loved the cupcake, both to eat and to squish in her fingers. She liked pulling the tissue paper from the gift bags and then putting it back in the bag.
Without a backyard the children had to improvise, which they did a wonderful job of, and Lizzy's room became a class room, with everyone taking a turn teaching.

1st Day of School

Both Rodney and Lizzy are now attending Mother's Day Out at Mt Brook Bapitist.

The difference a few years makes.

My cousin Amanda and I have always made an effort to visit each other several times a year. It use to be arrive Friday, go straight out to dinner and drinks, sleep late Saturday, do lunch, some shopping, then afternoon naps to prepare for the that evening.
Whew, how times have changed...........

With three children between us, and two of them very active little boys, our weekend was more like; up early, waffles, is everyone buckled, you need which truck, wait come back, don't fall asleep in the car, but pray they nap, who needs more lemonade, please eat your dinner, keep the water in the tub, and are they asleep yet..........can I get you a beer?
