Carpool

One of my favorite parts of being a Stay Home Mom (I am really not anymore, I work part time) is picking my children up from school. When they get in the car you get that burst of the excitement of their day. Today was a great for them both.
Lizzy had been in trouble last week for not minding her teachers and interrupting the class. She was rewarded with a big "I am proud of you" heart from her teachers for being so good! Big Smile on a happy girl. We did a dance of celebration. Yea!!!
Rodney skipped all the way to the car and then got in a announced "I love Merritt and Merritt loves me and we are boyfriend/girlfriend" with a huge grin.
Wow!! Later this evening he informs us he stopped being boyfriend/girlfriend with another girl in his class to be so with Merritt because she started wearing fancy clothes.

What in the world is next?

Red Rocket Basketball

Can I use Rodney's basketball season as my reason for not blogging? Well it's the best I can come up with.....

Check out the cute coach! Jeff was head coach and had some great help. They had a great time every Tuesday at practice and Saturdays for games. Can't wait to do it again next year.

Santa was good to us.......

Plans Change.........

Tuesday morning Rodney woke with a fever, by Thursday the fever still was not gone so to see Dr. Amason we went. Turns out he has the flu. So instead of packing up and heading to Tallahassee to be with my family. We prepared for Christmas in Birmingham. This was quite stressful for several hours, as I had had my mother buy the doll house Santa was bringing to Lizzy in Tallahassee. So here we are in Birmingham with all Rodney's things, but missing Lizzy's major gift. Jeff goes on a mission and thank goodness finds another similar doll house.

Now the only problem is I have to cook Christmas dinner (which is not my specialty). I found a Turkey Breast Recipe on AllRecipes.com that sounded good. Made my standard sweet potatoes, green beans, deviled eggs, and let Sister Schubert handle the rolls! Pecan pie for dessert and we had our first at home Christmas!

Seeing Santa

We went to Zoo Lights to find the Big Man. After a chilly train ride, we found Santa. The goal was to inform him that we would be at Nana's for Christmas and please come see us there. No one was scared of Santa this year, which is a first.

SEC Championship

Jeff and I received an early Christmas present from my parents in tickets to the SEC Championship. It was freezing cold, but nice a warm inside the dome. Great victory for Auburn and Cam!
