GBW

For the last 60+ years my maternal grandmothers side of the family has join at Mexico Beach for 1 week in July. It's now only about 14 of us, but we still have a great time. It rained the first three days, so Rodney ended up with his first big boy bike. We also had an all girls boat trip that ended in certain brothers in laws towing us home. Had fun Griffins, see you next year!

Point Clear July 4th

The 4th of July is always spent in Point Clear with the Mundy's. We had a great time again this year. BB purchase a kayak for all to enjoy, and kids had a great time with it. We also enjoyed the new pool at The Colony and the Grand, Lizzy even got in on the slide action at the Grand. Dinner the night of the 4th was at Big Daddy's on Fish River. They have a huge sand pile and every sand toy imaginable. The beer was cold, food was great and kids had a blast dancing to the band.

Baby shower, and now bed rest

Ever person I have ever given a baby shower for, has their baby early. Mandy, Robyn, Hougher and now it's looking like Carrie. Here are some pictures from the shower, and as of yesterday Carrie is on permanent bedrest.

1st Boat rides, Slip n Slide and HAYLEE

My best friend Hougher's step-daughter is possibly my children favorite person in this world. She spent a couple days at the beach with us around Memorial Day and then a week in Birmingham with us to attend Zoo Camp. If I could have a third child, it would be her! Here is Lizzy on her first boat ride, in Pops boat!

The best $5 ever spent at Walmart, the slip n slide......

Class Party & Fishing

It's been a LONG time since I blogged, sorry but I am just addicted to facebook. Plus our computer never seems to work right. So here's some summer events.

Rodney class party was the last week of school, here a picture of his whole class, they were playing so hard and so hot!

After the party we left for Mexico Beach, Jeff and I had a wedding to attend in Seaside on Saturday afternoon. Dad had entered Rodney in the KIDS WIN fishing tournament in PSJ, but he and Jeff played golf so I got to do the fishing. We went down to the jetties near the docks and sure enough Rodney caught a Spainish Mackerel on a cane pole (Mommy had tangled the rod and reel). We were very proud of this fish, even if he only weighted 9 oz.
