Here she is coming home today (8/25). Rodney was very excited to bring "my baby" home and wanted her to get in the little bed. He helped daddy put her down for a nap.
Well, I'm afraid I didn't get a still picture of big brother with his new baby sister today. I was too busy running the video camera. Here are some pictures from Day 2. Lizzy's cousin, Laura Beth, was so excited she had finally arrived.
We are so pleased to announce the arrival of Miss Elizabeth Hazel Mundy. She was born at 5:07 pm today (Thursday, August 23, 2007) central time. She weighed in at 7lbs 13 oz. and she was perfect! Christie was induced this morning and had her water broken at 6:30 am. Around 4:45 this afternoon, Christie finally got to 10cm and then before we knew it, she was ready to start pushing. The nurse told Christie to try a practice push and then quickly changed her mind as Lizzy started to crown. We had to wait a few minutes for the doctor to arrive. Christie got tickled at something and started to laugh. The nurse with one hand on Lizzy's head, quickly told Christie not to laugh, cough, or sneeze. When the doctor came in and told Christie to push, she got one push out and Lizzy came flying out.
The pictures I have with me tonight are attached, but lots more will come. She is beautiful and I'm sure these pictures won't do her justice. Rodney meets his new sister tomorrow and I'll post pictures of that too. Christie and baby are scheduled to come home on Saturday.
I am now 37 weeks (out of 40) pregnant. At yesterdays doctor visit, the ultrasound revealed that Miss Lizzy is about 7lbs 14oz, ALREADY!! So, my sweet doctor is going to induce labor next Thursday, 8/23. Can't wait for her arrival, babies are so much better on the outside than the inside!
Rodney's new favorite thing/character is Bob the Builder. Our local science center has had Bob attraction most of the summer, so here are some pictures of Rodney, Daddy and Bob.
These pictures are from our week at Mexico Beach, FL. An annual trip with my family. As you can see I am getting bigger, awaiting the arrival of Elizabeth Hazel "Lizzy", due in late August.
